יוספה רז מחזיקה בתואר דוקטור בלימודי יהדות מאוניברסיטת ברקלי בקליפורניה מאז 2013. בזמן הדוקטורט זכתה בפרס גור למאמר מצטיין ללימודי יהדות ובפרס אייזן לכתב יד בשירה. לפני הצטרפותה למנדל סכוליון מנדל מונתה לפוסט-דוקטורת ע"ש אן טננבאום ללימודי יהדות באוניברסטת טורונטו, שם לימדה קורסים בספרות עברית ומקרא בשנים 2013-2015. תרגומיה של שירת חנה קליימן, משוררת עברית אמריקאית של אמצע המאה הקודמת, יופיעו בספר "שירת נשים בעברית על חופים אמריקאים" שייצא לאור בהוצאת אוניברסיטת ווין סטייט. היא מלמדת סמינר על שירה, נבואה, שגעון, וחיזיון בחוג לספרות כללית והשוואתית.

Yosefa Raz graduated with a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley Jewish Studies in 2013, where she received the Goor Essay Prize in Jewish Studies and the Eisner Prize in poetry. Prior to her time as a Mandel Scholar, she was the Anne Tanenbaum Postdoctoral Fellow in Jewish Studies at the University of Toronto, from 2013-2015. Her translations and notes on the poetry of Anne Kleiman, a mid-century American Hebraist, will appear in Women’s Hebrew Poetry on American Shores, forthcoming through Wayne State University Press. She is currently teaching a seminar on Poetry, Prophecy, Vision, and Madness in the Comparative Literature Department at Hebrew University.
